Privacy Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Yaron W. (“TailorTrained,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use our website, quiz, guides and emails (the “Services”). It also explains your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (“CCPA”) and other US state privacy laws.

The short version: we use your information to give you your dog’s plan and guides, to email you, and to measure our ads. We never sell your information for money. We don’t share your contact details with trainers or other businesses. You can unsubscribe, opt out of ad tracking, or ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. Who we are

TailorTrained publishes free dog behavior quizzes, training plans and guides, and recommends at-home training resources. We are not a dog training provider or a veterinary practice.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Quiz answers: your dog’s name, age range, size, breed, behavior challenges, severity, timing, preferred training format, budget range and ZIP code.
  • Contact details: first name and email address.
  • Sign-ups: your email (and optionally name and dog’s name) when you request a guide or a course link.
  • Messages and requests: what you send through our contact or privacy forms, or by email.
  • Trainer applications: name, business details, service area, certifications, methods and contact information.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location (state), pages viewed, referring page and quiz progress.
  • Advertising and analytics identifiers, including UTM parameters, Google click ID (gclid), Meta click ID (fbclid), and cookies or pixels set by our partners (see Section 6).
  • Which of our emails you open and links you click, so we can stop sending what isn’t useful.

3. How we use information

  • To create your dog’s Behavior Profile and training plan, and to send you guides and course links you request.
  • To send you a small number of training emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To measure and improve our website, quiz and advertising.
  • To prevent fraud, spam and duplicate submissions, and to secure the Services.
  • To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

4. How we share information

  • We do not share your contact details with trainers or other businesses for their own marketing.
  • Service providers that run the Services for us under contract, such as website hosting (Vercel), our database (Neon), email delivery, spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA) and analytics. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • Advertising and analytics partners such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, which receive identifiers and event information (for example, that a quiz was completed) to measure and improve our ads. Under California law this may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out (see Section 7).
  • Affiliate partners. When you click a link to a product we recommend, such as Brain Training for Dogs, you leave our site. The seller and its payment platform (for example ClickBank) may set their own cookies to credit us for a purchase. We don’t receive your payment details. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect rights, safety and property.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

5. Sale and sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. We may “share” identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described above. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
